This year’s tournament proceeds will once again benefit Fox Valley Food for Health and the GIC HIMSS Scholarship Fund, which supports deserving undergraduate and graduate students pursuing careers in IT.

What is the GIC HIMSS Chapter?

The GIC (Greater Illinois Chapter) HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) is a diverse group of experienced healthcare professionals working in the greater Illinois who work at hospitals, corporate health systems, consulting firms, vendor organizations, universities, and a wide variety of other organizations.

The GIC HIMSS offers meetings to their members that:

• Provide an opportunity to share ideas and exchange experiences in the field of healthcare information and management systems
• Assist members and others in developing their knowledge, increasing their effectiveness, and maintaining high-quality standards of performance through continuing education
• Plan and conduct educational programs that promote an understanding of information and management systems work in healthcare.
